A group of Texas Rangers pursuing the Cavendish gang are led into an ambush by a crooked guide, and only one of the Rangers, John Reid, survives. Left for dead, he is nursed back to health by his childhood friend, Tonto, and sets out to bring Cavendish and his men to justice.
